So You Want To Go To College.
Over
ninety percent of the students I talk to say they want to go to a four-year
college. While this is commendable I am
surprised at the number of students that do not realize the commitment it takes
to get there.
So for everyone’s benefit I
have outlined below what it takes to go to college.
1st is to take rigorous classes all the way
through your senior year. You need to
take the tough classes that will prepare you for college. Don’t plan to relax academically during your
senior year.
So, what does this mean? It’s real simple; it means that you’re not
going to be taking teacher aide, open hours, PE, or shop classes. It means that you’re taking high level math,

than an “A” in an Agriculture or PE class.
2nd is to prepare for your ACT and
3rd is to get involved in community
activities. Give of yourself through
volunteer work. Colleges now want to see
students that are involved in the community and society as a whole.
Sounds simple, right?
Now for the hard part. Make the commitment to accomplish this. If you need help stop by
