Ability to read and interpret such documents as
safety manuals, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedures manuals.

Ø
Be physically and mentally capable of carrying out
the duties.
|
|
Ø Knowledge
of applicable laws and regulations: knowledge of
safe driving and preventive bus and vehicle
maintenance practices
|
|
Ø
Ability to
establish and maintain effective relationships with
students, staff, public officials and the general
public.
|
|
Ø
Must possess
a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and a CDL
License.
|
|
Ø
These tasks will include: assisting in daily
operations, training and safety activities.
|
|
|
|
Duties Include but Not Limited to: |
|
Ø Assist
the Transportation Director
in
performing a variety of training/safety tasks
related to the safe and efficient transportation of
regular and special education students.
|
|
Ø Know,
understand and consistently apply all practices of
"School Bus Driver Handbook" published by the
Superintendent of Public Instruction.

|
Ø
Comply with
Asotin Anatone School District policies Standard
Operating Procedures.
|
|
Ø Meet
and continue to meet all requirements in wac 392-144
and 145
|
|
Ø Drive
buses safely on regularly scheduled routes, field or
activity trips, or as needed to meet the functions
of the overall operations needs of the
Asotin-Anatone School District Transportation
Department.
|
|
Ø Have
the ability to complete forms, reports and other
clerical items.
|
|
Ø
Maintain
control over student passengers, utilizing effective
communications and student management techniques.
|
|
Ø Participate
in bus driver training courses as established by
S.P.I.
|
|
Ø
Prepare and
update all route maps and information sheets as
necessary. |
|
Ø
Prepare and
execute route that meets the capabilities of the
individual student as defined by the student's IEP. |
|
Ø
Perform
driving responsibilities that are compatible with
the unique abilities and disabilities of the
passengers. |
|
Ø
Maintain
the environmental conditions in the bus to a high
standard of health and safety. Responsibility for
the bus you are driving. Clean, fuel and report
needed repairs. |
|
Ø
Responsible for other duties as may be assigned by
the transportation supervisor. |
|
|

SELECTION PROCEDURE: Applicants must
