COVID-19 information
The Asotin-Anatone school district, in cooperation with our local health jurisdiction, have decided to participate in the “test to stay protocol” developed by the State of Washington health department. This protocol allows for students to stay in school if a student has been exposed to Covid-19 while at school. This does not apply to any exposures that occur outside of the school.
The student will follow a modified quarantine for 7 days, where they will be allowed to attend school, but will have to quarantine from all extracurricular activities. The student will be required to be tested twice, at school, during the 7-day “quarantine”. The student will also need to remain symptom free and continue to wear a mask. If a student tests positive at any time during the modified quarantine they will have to follow the normal quarantine and remain at home for the standard 10 days.
All students are required to have a signed consent on file stating if that student is authorized to test or not authorized to test. If you do not want for your student to participate in this program, then there will be an automatic at home 10-day quarantine if exposed.
*Students fully vaccinated against Covid-19 are exempt from this program, but still need to return a consent form*
