Boosters

Dear Parents and Community,

I recently accepted the position as the President for the Asotin High School Boosters Organization. The organization is designed to raise funds for Asotin Senior High School and Middle School curricular, extra-curricular, and co-curricular activities. It has funded and helped offset costs for school clubs, sports programs, music and agricultural program needs and travel costs, and filled special requests by faculty, coaches, and administrators. It is with the great community support that has helped the team of Boosters continue to be successful in these endeavors. Booster meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm, in the high school library.

I have been part of the Booster board for many years now and have also held the role of Secretary. My two older kids have since graduated and are off in college but I have an elementary student so I still plan on hanging around a few more years. Even though I currently do not have a MS/HS student I decided to stay on board as I really love what this club helps to do for the students in Asotin.

Our only fundraiser for each school year is the annual Asotin High School Booster’s Auction held the first Saturday of October – always! The auction is a huge effort by the Booster’s and a great team of volunteers, donors, and participants that make it such a huge success. Please mark your calendar for this great event held at the Lewiston Elk’s Lodge, we again just finished up a great auction and already are looking forward and ahead to next year!

Finally, I would like to invite you to become an Asotin Booster member. By joining, you become one of the many who donate to make the Booster’s a successful organization and continue to provide the funding for our school programs.

Here is to a great school year and remember what we invest into our students and community now will be seen for years to come.

BOOSTER AUCTION

The Booster Auction has become our grand fundraiser for the year. With generous support from personal and business donations, this evening has become a huge success. The Auction is held the first Saturday of October each year. Tickets go on sale at "Spirit Night" and can also be purchased from a Booster member or at the home football games. Activities for the evening include a social hour, silent auction, dinner, live auction, and dance. Donated auction items are always welcomed. You can contact a Booster member to have your item picked up.

 

MEETING TIMES

Meeting times are on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Asotin High School Library. We encourage you to join us and learn how to support the school and its activities.

SPIRIT NIGHT

Spirit Night, usually held within the first few weeks of school, is the introducation of our fall sports and the kick off of the new school year. We provide free hotdogs, salads, chips, cake and punch. This activity is open to the entire community. Please invite family and friends for a fun night to begin another great year for the students of AHS. Come and enjoy!
