Title 1/LAP Programs

  • The Federal Government provides funding for the state. Each state submits a plan describing what all students are expected to know and be able to do, standard of performance students are expected to meet, and ways to measure the schools' progress.
  • The State Educational Agency determines the amount of money each school district receives based on the number of families under a set income level.
  • The Local School District determines which students are eligible and distributes the Title I and LAP resources.
