ACT Test
ACT - The ACT consists of four multiple-choice tests that cover four skill areas: English, math, reading, and science. The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skills in planning and writing a short essay. Some colleges require the Writing Test. Check with your colleges of interest to see if the Writing Test is required. Register online at http://www.actstudent.org. AHS school code number is 480-040.

ACT Prep
There are several free resources students can use to prepare for the ACT test. Students can pick up a free ACT prep booklet in the AHS Counseling Office. Some free online ACT prep resources can be found at:
Fee Waivers are available for students who may have difficulty covering the cost of an exam. Please see your counselor for information if you may need a fee waiver.
Accommodations are available for students with a documented disability. Please see your counselor for information about accommodations available and how to register to take an exam with accommodations.
